Queen Margrethe II of Denmark
The Queen has been actively engaged in a number of artistic modes of expression: painting, church textiles, watercolours, prints, book illustrations, découpage works, scenography and embroidery. Many of these artistic works have been shown in connection with exhibitions in Denmark and abroad.
Among her artistic work we find the illustration of several books including the Danish version of “The Lord of The Rings” and Prince Henrik’s book “Cantibile”, the design of chausubles for different chapels and churches, the design of costumes for different theater productions, and illustrations of posters, cards, stamps and calendars for different occasions and charities. - The Danish Monarchy
